Please help all girls in our combined Service Units by following these simple rules for booth sales (and for that matter, all sales)...

1. Smile and be polite. This means no horsing around. Say "Thank You" no matter what.

2. Only ask people if they would like to buy cookies when they leave the store. BE SURE THAT YOU ARE NOT BLOCKING THE DOORWAY OF A BUSINESS.

3. Wear your uniform. If it is cold (and it will be cold!), you can still wear your pins.

4. Know your product. Be able to give information about the cookies. Help your customers with their buying decisions.

5. Remember the Girl Scout Motto -- "Be Prepared"
* Arrive at your booth at your scheduled time.
* Bring enough $1's, $5's, etc.(and now especially quarters!) to make change for your customers.
* Eat before you arrive at the booth site or plan to eat after selling. NO FOOD PERMITTED AT BOOTHS - THIS INCLUDES PARENTS! Remember, you cannot talk to customers while you are eating.

6. Keep yourself safe at all times! Ideally, there should be 2 to 4 girls present at a cookie booth with two adults. DO NOT APPROACH PEOPLE IN THEIR CARS - including drive thru lines!

7. Do not bring friends or pets with you to the cookie booth. This time is for you and your troop to sell cookies.

8. Please be respectrul of the troops coming in behind you, and please be almost completely packed up shortly before your booth ends, so that the next troop can start right on time.

9. Be sure to remove empty boxes and other trash from the locations when you leave. DO NOT USE STORE TRASH CANS. Girl Scouts always leave a place better than they found it.

Good Luck with your Cookie Sales ....
